Mark helps a student create a cloud in a bottle!
Lucas and Mark show students how to make a tornado in some 2-liter bottles.
Mark teaches students about how air pressure can control temperature, and how that helps make a cloud in a bottle.
The University of Washington's Department of Atmospheric Science has maintained a free volunteer-based Outreach Program since 1989. Graduate students share their knowledge with K-12 students by judging science fairs, hosting groups wanting to learn more about the field, visiting schools for hands-on demonstrations and lectures, and other outreach activities. This blog is where you can find recaps of previous events and other interesting news from the group.
